Chainmaille II: Euro 4-in-1
Instructor:  Leanne Emery

Picture

$40 Class Fee
$15 Tool Kit *

This design served knights and samurai warriors for centuries! This particular weave is the one that springs to mind on hearing the word 'chainmaille' - it is called the European 4-in-1 and is one of the most widely known and used weaves. This is a great showcase design for the beginning student to create - it's relatively easy to learn and is a gorgeous piece when completed.

Experience level:   Beginner
6 maximum per Class
Ages 18-up

* A Word about the Tool Kit
The student may choose between purchasing a complete toolkit for wire-working or chainmaille classes from the instructor or purchase and bring their own. These tools are necessary for all wire-working and chainmaille classes and need to be purchased prior to the first class.

Students should bring:
A single toggle or lobster clasp for finishing your project. These items can be found at Michael's or
Hobby Lobby.

Instructor will provide:
  • Jump rings to complete 6.5" bracelet

The one time fee for the wire-working toolkit purchased from the instructor is $15.00. This includes:
  • 2 Flat Nose Pliers
Please note: If you decide to purchase these tools on your own (or even bring in your own), they need to be "non marring" pliers, meaning that they have no grooves, serrations or "teeth" inside the jaws of the pliers. Michael's and Hobby Lobby both carry these tools, used specifically in jewelry work.  Sometimes, these tools can be found at home improvements stores, but they tend to be heavier and not well suited for beginning jewelry classes (causing hand strain).

There will also be specialty tools provided by the instructor for in-class use.

Please indicate your preference of purchase when signing up for class, and remember, this kits can be used for any current and future wire-working classes.
